If my family “got me,” would I be sitting here writing right now?
“If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we’d ALL have a merry Christmas” (Author Unknown), but in actuality, as a Christian, it IS all “candy and nuts.” In Romans 8:28, we’re told that “…in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
It’s so easy for me to get caught up in the pain that I fail to recognize the blessing or healing promised to me. God has NEVER let me down when I wait on him and look for the big picture. He always goes overboard with his extravagant love!
With that in mind, my intent with this blog is to give God credit where credit is due. Additionally, I’m hoping it will serve as a reminder to myself on my days of doubt.
Pet peeves are usually over superficial or minor things. As such, they are a perfect opportunity for us to develop and practice:
Embracing of Differences
And to boot, this communication builds confidence in our social skills and our relationships. It gives us the opportunity to develop a sense of what is and is not important to us, AND most importantly, it’s a safe playground preparing and growing us as communicators in The Great Commission.
